Lev HaIr

Lev ha-Ir is the administrative and commercial center of Bat Yam. The main axis of the district is Sderot Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Boulevard), which runs through the entire old part of the city and continues the eponymous Jaffo Street. Running parallel are Rothschild and Bialik Boulevards. Here are concentrated the municipality (brutalism of the 1960s), main street retail, cafes, and a cultural cluster. Architecturally, the district is heterogeneous: old residential stock from the 1950s–70s in the "shikun" style neighbors new towers from the pinui-binui program and point projects of Tama 38. This creates a varied appearance but gives investors high upside when purchasing an old apartment for renovation. Right in the district, four Red Line stations operate simultaneously (Bialik, Jabotinsky, Rothschild, Balfour) — walking distance to Tel Aviv's center is within 15–25 minutes. To the sea is 600–900 meters, the central promenade is within walking distance.
